How do I enable local protection and choose its mode?
In workstation setup, choose upstream, endpoint, key, model and local proxy port, then Enable protection. Hide data replaces values, Block rejects transmission, and monitoring does not block. Verify a synthetic request from the connected tool.
Protection is enabled but the upstream is unavailable — what next?
The local process and external gateway availability are separate checks. Verify endpoint, key and network; if the port is occupied, select an approved free port and update the tools. A frontend capture with an educational native adapter does not prove a running proxy on your computer.
